Marc I. Cohen
Marc I. Cohen, 42, is President and Chief Executive Officer of HUB International Group Northeast Limited (HUB NE) and Program Brokerage Corporation (PBC).
Mr. Cohen earned his BA from the State University of New York at Albany in 1988 immediately after which he began his insurance career, entering the training program at HUB NE. He became a Vice President in 1994 and a Senior Vice President in 1997.
In 1999 Mr. Cohen was appointed President of Program Brokerage Corporation (PBC) and Claims Administration Corporation (CAC), HUB NE’s wholesale insurance subsidiary and claims management divisions, respectively. Simultaneously, he was named President of Old Lyme Insurance Company of Rhode Island, a HUB NE underwriting subsidiary that was subsequently sold. In those positions, he was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s program management and wholesale activities.
In January 2004, Mr. Cohen was named to his current positions. He remains President of PBC and CAC, and is now responsible for HUB NE’s retail property/casualty and benefits businesses as well as its wholesale operations. As President and CEO of HUB NE, Mr. Cohen serves on the Executive Management Committee of Hub International.
In 2004, Mr. Cohen was included in Business Insurance magazine’s “40 Under 40” feature. Winners of this designation were selected from insurance industry candidates under age 40 in the United States, Bermuda, Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Cohen is a member of the New York Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a group of over 8,000 global business leaders under age 45 in 75 countries.
