HUB International Buys Ross Benefits Group

Hub International Ltd. has acquired from The Ross Cos. the assets of The Ross Benefits Group Ltd., a New York-based employee benefits brokerage and consulting unit of the firm. Ross Benefit Group employees will become part of Hub International Northeast Ltd. and will move into the broker’s existing office in New York.

“In this critical time when health care reform is being implemented and health care cost trends are accelerating, it is important that we forge strong partnerships with other well-established brokers who are committed to providing their clients with the highest level of consultancy and leading-edge client service and strategy development,” Joseph Torella, president of the employee benefits division of Hub International Northeast, said in a statement.
